Now you see a bathroom...

One of the tragedies of buying homes like this is that there are a number of newly-but-badly-done homeowner projects that must be torn out, and it kills us to think of the money that was spent on the new stuff we're tearing out. We are trying to use wisdom in what we leave and what we replace, but when you're tearing out as much as we already are it really is kind of now or never. The upstairs bathroom, for instance, was apparently redone fairly recently, or at least updated. Just not very well. And besides, the rest of the second floor is all studs... we don't want the bathroom to feel left out.

Plus, God provided some phenomenal deals on new bathroom stuff. So out the old stuff goes!

Props to my aforementioned good friend and coworker Sarah, who is a princess if every sense of the word except the literal one. She not only cheerily helped out but made the whole thing unbelievably more fun that it would have been by myself, and helped me do a bunch of stuff that one person alone just couldn't have done. (Well, one person alone who is me. Perhaps one Arnold could have pulled it off, but he wasn't available.)

Phase 2 of the demo coming tomorrow... the floor, which took basically longer than everything else put together.

Cost:
ripping, tearing, destroying, annihilating: fun, and $0
