As we've been chronicling, there is a great deal of mold which has had to die. We figured out a large part of the problem: not only was the roof leaky, but the windows had also been installed badly (surprise!) and there was no siding cap around the outside edges. Hence the water damage, mold, ants, and all that rot. (har har)
So we have been waging war on the mold... and it is now officially dead dead dead! All the rotted wood had been replaced, all the mold killed, and everything sealed. Now my wonderful relatives who have expressed concern over the mold (thank you guys for wanting us to stay alive!) can relax. We've won this battle.

You never come through a battle without some casualties.... thankfully, this one cost only 39 cents.
It might not look exactly nice yet, but think how well we'll sleep knowing how safe the insides of our walls are!
