One of the things you learn about yourself during a project like this is the way you work. Jack and I knew pretty much already what our styles are, but we are continuing to learn. I am spatial, meaning I work from up to down, or side to side, and don't care about the mess on the other side. I've been known to throw trash over my shoulder into the still dirty side while I work on the clean side. Jack prefers to look at a big mess, and pick out the stuff he can do, do it, and then sort of peter out. :)
We're working mostly top to bottom in the house, since we have to finish the upstairs in order to "move in" up there, freeing up space downstairs to work. This works great for me, and I couldn't care less about the disaster downstairs since we're not currently focusing there. My poor hubby, however, patient man that he is, did still have to graciously ask me to straighten up downstairs when he saw that I was throwing trash on the floor (there was already trash on it! And we're not working downstairs right now!). He sure was wonderful to marry me! :)
So my amazing friend Sarah (who is also my tech princess at work) came over after work and after a nice solid two hours' work, we have some very respectable order:
Cost:
Sarah: a lot of IOUs in chocolate, but for now, $0
